Newcastle United fans react to Matthew Bondswell rumors – EzAnime.net

Newcastle United were pretty quiet in the January transfer window, but now they are making a deal outside the window.

Joe Willock came on loan from Arsenal, but that was all Newcastle did, and now they have decided to look for a free agent.

The Telegraph reports that Newcastle is set to win the race for defender Matthew Bondswell after RB Leipzig released him in January.

Leeds United and West Ham United are also interested in signing Bondswell, but it is Newcastle who won the race for his signing.

Bondswell, 18, was highly regarded in Nottingham Forest before Leipzig won the race, beating out several of the best clubs to sign him.

It has not worked out well for Bondswell in Germany, and he is now returning to England with Newcastle, where he will initially participate in the Under-23s before moving on to the first team.

Newcastle fans have been quite divided over the move so far, with some ‘surprised’ that Bondswell was able to leave Leipzig for free, believing the Magpies have landed a talent for the future.

Others think they will never see Bondswell again, feeling that he will fade and move on to better things in the future, just like Kevin Mbabu.
