Newcastle United won 6-1 over Tottenham Hotspur in Week 32 of the Premier League at St James’ Park, Sunday (23/4) evening WIB.

These results put Newcastle in third place standings with 59 points. Meanwhile, Tottenham are stuck in fifth place with 53 points.

Newcastle have opened the scoring when the game has been running for two minutes. Jacob Murphy’s right-foot shot from inside the penalty box rattled Hugo Lloris’ goal.

Four minutes later it was Joelinton’s turn to score against the visitors. Fabian Schar’s breakthrough bait was not wasted by Joelinton to bring Newcastle 2-0 up.

Murphy again became a nightmare for Tottenham in the ninth minute. The Magpies player again found Lloris’ goal with a shot from outside the penalty box.

Tottenham’s nightmare has not ended even though they have conceded three goals in nine minutes.

Newcastle really exploited the poor performance of The Lilywhites. Joe Willock’s brilliant pass using the outside of his right foot leads to Alexander Isak who is not guarded.

The Swedish bomber then fired a powerful shot which made Lloris collect the ball for the fourth time in this match in the 19th minute.

Isak managed to score his second goal in this game just two minutes later. The shot along the ground, the former Real Sociedad player, was unable to be contained by Lloris and made it 5-0.

Tottenham were able to reduce the position at the start of the second half. Harry Kane scored a goal which made the score 1-5.

It’s just that Newcastle was still able to score one additional goal against Tottenham which had been escorted by Fraser Foster. Substitute Callum Wilson broke into Tottenham’s goal with a flick from close range. The 6-1 score lasted until the second half was over.
