Newcastle co-owner Mehrdad Kaddousi has reportedly promised to give Alain Saint-Maximin a new deal, telling the Frenchman he intends to build his new team around him. Saint-Maximin has featured at Magpies since joining the Nice club in 2019 and is said to have piqued interest from PSG.

Newcastle got off to a dismal start to the season but were taken over by a massive consortium led by Saudi Arabia last autumn. And after Eddie Howe was made manager, they changed their season.
Newcastle appeared destined for the Championship at the turn of the year, having won just one of their first 20 Premier League games. But they are now ninth in the table after winning 10 of their last 14 games. This means the new owners will be able to build an excellent team without having to face life in the English second division.
According to The Mirror, Newcastle want to put Saint-Maximin at the heart of their plans and tie him to a new deal – despite the fact his current contract has four years left. And that could be bad news for Paris Saint-Germain, who are keen to sign the player after impressing well in England.

So Saint-Maximin will surely want to be part of the Newcastle trip if he can resist the temptation to return to France. The ace came through the youth system at Saint-Etienne before joining Monaco in 2015 and being loaned out to SC Bastia and German club Hannover 96.
Paris Saint-Germain have wealthy owners themselves and have built an impressive squad in recent years, with the likes of Lionel Messi, Kylian Mbappe and Neymar plying their trade at the Parc des Princes. And the addition of Saint-Maximin could boost them even more if they can keep him out of the Premier League.
