A newborn baby, a few hours old, was found alive Friday morning in Rennes.
According to West Francea resident of the neighborhood heard shouts coming from a trash container. She immediately called emergency services.
The latter were lowered into the container using a rope to remove the infant who was in a trash bag with the placenta.
“The living infant, malemixed skin, was urgently transported to the pediatric department of the CHU“, indicated the public prosecutor, Philippe Astruc.
A criminal investigation into attempted murder has been opened.
