A newborn baby was found abandoned alive last night in the hallway of a residential building in Yonkers, westchester county (NY).
Local police are investigating the case. The baby is only a few days old and was taken to a hospital, where she was reported in stable conditionreported Fox News.
After an alert call, the baby was found crying around 8:30 pm on Tuesday. wrapped in a towel in the hallway of a small apartment building located at 32 Chestnut Street. The police said that initially They do not suspect criminality and for now its objective is Find the girl’s parents.

The authorities reiterate that New York has a safe haven law which allows parents give up an infant up to 30 days old anonymously and without question, in hospitals, police or fire stations and other designated spaces. You can also leave the baby with someone and immediately notify authorities of the baby’s location.
