She wore around her neck several valuable jewels: a gold chain, as well as a diamond pendant.
As the tourist was about to take her correspondence, an individual appeared, violently snatching her chain and her pendant before fleeing. In the violence of the shock, the victim was thrown to the ground and hit his head. Supported by firefighters, the latter was led by regional transport security officers to file a complaint.

The 17-year-old defendant
In the process, the analysis of CCTV images led to the arrest of the respondent in the 10th arrondissement, less than 2 hours after the events. During the searches, the police found on him the gold chain stolen from the victim, as well as another chain recovered during another theft perpetrated in the same metro station. Aged 17 and in an irregular situation, the young man was placed in police custody.
