In December 2020, the Society for Environmental Education Baden-Württemberg eV (GUB) opened a YouTube research channel on the subjects of natural sciences and the environment for parents, educators, teachers, young people and children.
Currently on the YouTube-Kanal already over 30 exciting films. Two new research films are posted every week. The 4 to 10 minute videos cover topics such as magnetism, insects, plants, air and water.
The project is funded by the German Foundation for Engagement and Honor.
With the offer, the kindergartens can be supported in their scientific work with the children. But the channel is also suitable for schoolchildren and parents who want to carry out research projects in lockdown.
Instructions for the videos are available as pdf on the homepage www.gub-bw.de made available, where anyone interested can find out more about the scientific background and materials of the experiments.

The GUB has been active in kindergartens in the Rhine-Neckar metropolitan region since 2004 and looks after 25 model kindergartens in Heidelberg, Mannheim and Weinheim. The GUB was recognized as an official project of the UN Decade of Education for Sustainable Development. State Secretary Ms. Rita Schwarzelühr-Sutter from the Federal Environment Ministry and State Secretary Volker Schebesta from the Ministry of Culture in Stuttgart have taken on the patronage of GUB eV projects.
