New York’s Rockefeller Center Christmas tree gets mocked on social media

The Rockefeller Center Christmas Tree New York is one of those Christmas symbols known throughout the world. His arrival in downtown Manhattan is always a warning that the festivities are near, and in a year that has been difficult for everyone, many people hope that this type of action will be a reminder of better times.

Last Saturday the workers began with the installation of the tree at Rockefeller Center. Canadian spruce, almost 23 meters high, traveled to the Big Apple from the town of Oneonta, in central New York, where this year the Rockefeller’s head gardener, Erik Fauze, found the right tree, with “the perfect Christmas shape,” he explained to the local media. But nevertheless, not everyone is satisfied.

On social media, many users have made fun of the tree’s appearance. And it is that in the first photographs that were published you can see that the shape of the branches is somewhat different from the traditional image of a Christmas tree.

“Can the Rockefeller Center tree look worse? Brand 2020”.

“The Rockefeller Center tree looks like one of those Lord of the Rings characters that are old trees that wander through the woods waiting to die.”

However, not everything has been critical. Some users have explained that the current appearance of the tree is the result of a long road trip and that as the days go by, the branches will take on their traditional shape. From the Rockefeller Center account, they have also addressed users who have criticized the tree: “wow, you must all look very good after two days on the road. Wait until they put the lights on me. See you on December 2 ”.

As a curiosity this year, when the workers were installing the tree they discovered that among its branches there were An owl who had traveled to New York in his nest. The animal has been rescued and will be taken to an animal sanctuary.
