New Yorkers Flock to ‘Lucky Store’ in Hopes of Winning $1.4 Billion Powerball Jackpot

This Saturday night will be the Powerball drawing that has a total of $1.4 billion and thousands of New Yorkers are looking for that jackpot.

Many of them are going to buy their tickets at a store located in Orange County, which in the last year has become the ‘lucky store’.

This is a Smokes 4 Less location located on North Plank Road in the Newburgh area.

This small roadside store has sold million-dollar Powerball prizes in the last year.

Just after the drawing on October 2, the store sold a winning ticket worth $2 million.

In addition to this prize, in November 2022 the store sold two more million-dollar winning tickets consecutively.

The first was the winner in the draw on November 2 and the second in the draw on November 5.

Local media have reported that long lines of people are forming in the place looking to be the next winner.

The $1.4 billion jackpot is the third largest in the history of the draw.

The winner could take home up to $614 million after taxes.
