New Yorkers Arrested for Series of Robberies in Fairfax County, VA

Luz Hernández Capera and Claudia Echavarría Osorio, residents of New York, were arrested as suspects of several robberies in Fairfax County, Virginia.

Apparently Hernández Capera (41) and Echavarría Osorio (53) were caught on camera robbing customers of a “Panera Bread” restaurant in Lorton a few weeks ago, reported Daily Voice.

In December, a customer reported to the Fairfax County Police Department that her wallet had been taken while she was eating at Panera Bread on Lorton Market Street and The stolen credit cards were immediately used at several locations in the area.

During the initial investigation, detectives were able to track down surveillance photographs and Later that day Herndon City Police reported a similar case. The second investigation led both departments to obtain a license plate number from the vehicle involved, which returned to Fairfax County over the January weekend, prompting a traffic stop on Route 66, where the two suspects were arrested.

They were charged with several counts of credit card theft and petit theft. Additional charges are pending as the department continues to work with other agencies on possible similar cases in Maryland, West Virginia, Connecticut, Ohio, Massachusetts and the entire east coast.

In April 2023, a resident of The Bronx (NYC) was arrested at a bank in Connecticut on suspicion of trying to obtain a check worth $38,510.62 and another $5,000 in cash. using a stolen credit card.
