Election day has arrived and doubts prevail, but here we clarify several points. First, find your voting site here and the sample ballot, but pay close attention, because in some counties the early voting center may differ from the Election Day location.
In June, New Yorkers elected Eric Adams and Curtis Sliwa as candidates for the Democratic and Republican mayor of New York City; Now, the voting will begin to determine who will assume the leadership of the City Council in January 2022.
Here you can know the profile and the proposals of the candidates.
The next mayor will take office during an ongoing pandemic, and must lead a massive effort to revitalize the city, all amid a series of pressing issues, such as public safety.

EARLY VOTING
Early voting takes place from October 23 to October 31. The last day to stamp or deliver the absentee ballot in person is November 2.
Absentee ballots can be long and sometimes a bit heavier than a typical piece of mail. Post office policy is to deliver election mail, including ballots, as first class mail, regardless of the postage assigned to them.
The city’s Board of Elections says you only need one stamp to send in your ballots. But NYC Votes, the voter education arm of the city’s Campaign Finance Board, recommends two stamps.
First, the group has heard from voters in the past who had absentee ballots returned, often without explanation, so it is unknown if the factor was postage. Second, different city districts may have longer or shorter ballots, depending on how many candidates show up.
So NYC Votes says, as a precaution, use two stamps. Or better yet, take it to the post office and have it weighed to make sure how many to use.
CAN I LEAVE THE ABSENCE BALLOT AT A VOTING CENTER?
Yes. You can deposit your ballot in person at any of these locations during voting from 6:00 am to 9:00 pm.

WHEN WILL WE KNOW THE WINNER?
Barring surprises, we will know the preliminary results the night of November 2, although by then the absentee ballots will still be counting, so the results will not be official.
