New York Yankees Legend Andy Pettitte became the new adviser to manager Aaron Boone on Monday.thus sealing his return to the Bronx after years cut off from the team.
Pettitte, one of the Yankees’ most outstanding pitchers in recent history, will be an addition to try to help the team achieve the goal of qualifying for the 2023 postseason.
According to Boone’s own information, the left-hander will have consultant work for the pitching rotation, complementing the work of pitching coach Matt Blake.
Pettitte’s return is also caused by the recent structural additions that the Yankees have made in recent days, after the hiring of hitting coach Sean Casey and also the addition of another exMulo like Nick Swisher.
In Pettitte’s case, he is expected to be present in some Yankees games in the second half of the season. However, his work will not be constant because the winner of five World Series currently resides in Texas with his family.
