NoHo: the district of trendy boutiques to amaze teenagers and adults who love fashion
- If you are coming to New York for the first time, the name NoHo may not mean anything to you. And yet, this small neighborhood has become a beacon for 5 years for New Yorkers who have their good addresses there. Unusual, trendy and artistic are the best adjectives to describe our tour specially designed to appeal to teenagers accompanied by their families.
- A toboggan hidden in a building dedicated to fashion? We surprise your teenagers and you too! A haunted early 19th century house will send shivers down your spine. And Lafayette will not be far either at the bend of an anecdote. We don’t forget to make your teenagers smile with a streetwear store equipped with … a cereal bar! In short, only unusual surprises for your teenagers to feel more than ever … in the game!
East Village: a guided tour that traces the history of Punk music
The East Village Counterculture and the Mosaic Trail
- A stone’s throw from NoHo, you will discover that the East Village has kept its Eastern European origins and its more popular then alternative side. The former “little Germany” saw the arrival of the Ukrainian community and then the Hispanic community. L’East Village was also home to the rock and PUNK counterculture of the 1970s, whose traces we will find. This vibrant district will touch you because it resists real estate developers as best they can.
- Between clandestine bars (speakeasy), unusual shops and street art, your teenagers will be encouraged to comment on what they see and share their feelings. During the visit, we will introduce you to a street art little known even to New Yorkers: the path of the mosaics. At the bend of poles and sidewalks, we guess the symbols of the cradle of punk rock in New York. Perfect for teenagers and children, we bring them to discover the history of East Village through art.
East Village Community Gardens and American Gangsters
- East Village is the neighborhood that is full of more than thirty community gardens. Are you sensitive to ecology, diversity and being eco-responsible? You have to find out how these gardens work! More than green spaces, these gathering places are key to the survival of East Village. And how do your teenagers get involved for the planet?
- The anecdotes of the American gangster museum always give a crispy side. We dive back into the cult films of New York to talk about the guys from NYC. Theater 80 and Club 53 will become references for your teenagers. The wind of freedom that blew through New York in the 1970s can still be felt in East Village.
