A stone’s throw from NoHo, you will discover that the East Village has kept its Eastern European origins and its more popular then alternative side. The former “little Germany” saw the arrival of the Ukrainian community and then the Hispanic community. L’East Village was also home to the rock and PUNK counterculture of the 1970s, whose traces we will find. This vibrant district will touch you because it resists real estate developers as best they can.
