NEW YORK – Two French graffiti artists were mowed down by a subway train in New York, police and the local press announced on Friday April 22.

“On Wednesday, April 20, 2022, at approximately 6:49 p.m. local time, police responded to an emergency call for two people hit by a train” at a subway station in the Brooklyn neighborhood, police told AFP.

“Rescue found the death of the two men on the spot,” said the authorities.

A preliminary investigation determined that they had been hit by a train that morning or at night.

The two men whose passports were found nearby and who were in possession of spray paint cans have been identified as Pierre Audebert, 28, and Julien Blanc, 34, two French street artists, according to several local media, confirming information from Parisian.

“Rest in peace my brothers. I will always love you”, reacted on Instagram the Toulouse graffiti artist Ceet-Fouad who collaborated with them.

The tunnel where the bodies of Pierre Audebert and Julien Blanc were found is a place known for its graffiti in New York, according to the ABC channel.
