Beware, this video triggers travel bug: Anyone watching the latest time-lapse film by Dimid Vazhnik must expect severe side effects. On the other hand, only the immediate booking of a flight ticket to New York can help.

The Belarusian photographer Dimid Vazhnik from Minsk struck again. After we were able to present his time-lapse film about Norway at the beginning of the year, he presented his latest work on Vimeo a few days ago: “New York Timelapse“.
In just under four minutes, it seduces its viewers to Manhattan in a way that could hardly be more sensual in a film. With an evenly powerful movement, he zooms in to the highlights and attractions of the metropolis: above and below the Brooklyn and Manhattan Bridges, through the streets and avenues.
He shows the city from the water, films from above onto the skyscrapers and the sea of lights. After about halfway through, he slowly lets night fall in the city that never sleeps. He has underlined his time-lapse with the title “Sweet Dreams are made of this” by Escala.
The time-lapse recordings were made during a one-month stay in September 2015, as the filmmaker explains on his website. His conclusion: “I would say that New York is one of the most interesting and richest places on earth that you want to return to again and again.”
