A 5-year-old boy narrowly escaped kidnapping Thursday, July 15 in the Queens neighborhood of New York. He was walking on a sidewalk with part of his family when he was forcibly taken by a man in a car. His mother and her other children managed to get him out of the vehicle. The kidnappers fled, but one of them was later arrested.
A 24-year-old man has been arrested after the attempted kidnapping of a 5-year-old boy narrowly foiled by the latter’s mother and her other children on Thursday, July 15 at around 8:45 p.m. in New York. LThe kidnapping was filmed by a CCTV camera. The images relayed by the New York Post show the young victim walking on a sidewalk in the Queens neighborhood a few yards in front of the rest of her family.
A brown car suddenly stopped at their level, the driver rushed out of the vehicle and grabbed the boy. He threw him in the back seat before getting back behind the wheel. Within seconds, the little boy’s mother and the two children with her rushed into the sedan., from whom they finally managed to root out their son and brother.

Another wanted man
The perpetrator then set off with a bang and fled. The next day, New York police released photos of the suspect from various CCTV footage shot before and during the kidnapping. The individual was ultimately indicted for “kidnapping”, “endangering the life of others” and “dangerous action on a child under 17”.
The remote monitoring showed the presence of another man in the passenger seat of the vehicle during the abduction. Law enforcement officials also asked the public for help in identifying him. In addition to the footage of the kidnapping, they shared videos of the two men in a store and then walking side by side on a street. The mother of the family said that at the time of the kidnapping attempt, she was going to her husband’s workplace to bring him his dinner.
