Long-time friends, Jean-Marc Dellac and Christian Nicolas, former mayor of Saint-Julien, have a common passion: New York, the standing city. The two men invite you on a trip to the land of skyscrapers. They are joining forces to offer a photographic exhibition and a conference around “the city that never sleeps”.
“Second-hand dealer”
Jean-Marc Dellac contracted photography as a fortunately incurable disease since 1974.
“I like multi-layered images that lie well, because photographs are a pretty lie. If they told the truth, no one would be interested,” he smiles.
New York, seductive, brutal, electric, dazzling, bucolic, extravagant, sometimes disturbing. New York, excess of excess in the image of Manhattan.

Conference
Rather than a photographer, he defines himself as a “second-hand dealer-picture dealer”. You will be able to see around thirty photos taken in April 2022 during their trip.
Furthermore, Christian Nicolas will host a conference on Thursday January 18 at 6:30 p.m. at Trait d’union. He wishes to share his inspirations and the vision of the megacity that he has visited nearly twelve times.
New York the Standing City exhibition. Until January 29 at the Trait d’union gallery. 02 96 64 17 51. Free entry.
