New York stocks: weak retail and corona weigh on prices

The record series on the stock markets in the USA did not continue on Tuesday. Surprisingly weak numbers from the important retail sector and the rising number of corona infections put pressure on prices in early trading. The leading index Dow Jones Industrial, which had reached another record high in the last few minutes of trading the day before, lost 0.74 percent to 35,362 points.
