After the disappointing start to the week, share prices in New York recovered somewhat on Tuesday. In early trading, the Dow Jones Industrial rose 0.86 percent to 34,253 points. The rapid spread of the delta variant of the corona virus had triggered concerns among investors about the further economic development the day before. The Dow had lost more than two percent. For the market-wide S&P 500, it was last up 0.58 percent to 4283 points. The technology-heavy Nasdaq 100 rose 0.20 percent to 145 78 points.
