[아시아경제 뉴욕=백종민 특파원] As the US Democratic Party’s domination of the Senate became visible, the New York Stock Market started mixed up.

As of 9:50 am on the 6th (local time), the Dow Jones 30 Industrial Average is up 0.6% from the previous day. The S&P 500 index rose 0.13%. The Dow Index started flat and then expanded, while the S&P 500 index turned to an upward trend after starting a decline.

The Nasdaq Index is showing a relatively large decline of 0.6%. The Nasdaq fell 1.2% right after the opening, but the decline is slightly decreasing.

Apple is down 2.8% and Amazon is down 1.65%. Zoom is also down 3.18%. The share price of Tesla, an electric car maker that can benefit from eco-friendly policies, is showing a surge in the 3% range.

The fact that the Nasdaq’s decline compared to the Dow and the S&P 500 is an assessment that reflects the concern that if the Democratic Party seizes the Senate, it will pursue an economic recovery through active fiscal execution.

In this case, CNBC’s analysis is that investors may flock to the traditional industry rather than the technology sector that has benefited from’untact’ due to the new coronavirus infection (Corona 19).

It is predicted that even if Biden’s next administration raises corporate taxes, it will have a greater impact on technology companies.

The US media judged that Democratic candidate Rafael Warnock had won Republican candidate Kelly Loeffler ahead of the final counting of the Georgia Senate runoff vote held the day before.

Democrat Zone Candidate Osoff is also leading the way in a fierce battle with Republican candidate David Purdue. With 98% of the votes counted, Candidate Osoff is leading by a difference of 0.38 percentage points. Candidate Osov declared his victory despite delaying the press’s judgment of victory.

When Osoff’s victory is confirmed, the Democrats will take the two seats of the Georgia senator and secure the Senate majority.
