New York Stock Exchange tries to bounce back after Facebook-led tech plunge

The New York Stock Exchange began to rebound at the opening, as investors bet on the energy sector and returned to tech after the plunge the day before: the Dow Jones advanced 0.41%, the Nasdaq 0.48 % and the S&P 500 of 0.46%.

Monday, after a heavy fall in the technology sector lead by Facebook, victim of a giant blackout, the Nasdaq had dropped 2.14% to 14,255.48 points. The Dow Jones index had lost 0.94% to 34,002.92 points and the S&P 500 had given up 1.30% to 4,300.46 points.
