Two young people, a boy and a girl, were killed and fourteen others injured during the night from Friday to Saturday in a shooting during an evening in the midst of the covid-19 pandemic in the state of New York, in the United States , police reported.
“We have a total of 16 victims of the shooting and unfortunately the injuries of two of them were fatal,” Police Officer Mark Simmons told reporters near the scene of the shooting in Rochester.
The young people killed were between 18 and 22 years old and the lives of the 14 injured are not in danger, according to the same source.
The police dispatched to the scene found a “scene of chaos”, a hundred people running in all directions.
The evening took place in the midst of the coronavirus pandemic in the backyard of a house, according to the police officer.
No one was arrested at this point and the exact circumstances of the shooting which occurred shortly after midnight were unknown, according to the police officer.
