NEW YORK (dpa-AFX) – Investors on Wall Street were also in a buying mood on Tuesday. This lifted the leading Dow Jones Industrial index to another historic high at the start of trading. Speculation about an even bigger Corona stimulus package fueled the record hunt. The market-wide S&P 500 and the selection indices on the technology-heavy Nasdaq stock exchange rose to further highs.
The Dow (Dow Jones 30 Industrial) advanced 0.38 percent to 30,521 points in the first few minutes of trading. The S&P 500 gained 0.44 percent to 3752 points. For the NASDAQ 100 it went up 0.59 percent to 12,915 points. / Bek / fba
