The recordings were made on November 8th and caused outrage. New York Governor Andrew Cuomo said the illegal event was a “blatant disregard for the law.” The wedding was “disrespectful to the citizens of New York”.
Operators did not send out any written invitations
The organizers of the wedding celebration had planned the gathering secretly and only made it aware of it through word of mouth, as the “New York Post” reports. No written invitations were sent.
The operators of the synagogue now have to pay a fine of $ 15,000, as New York Mayor Bill de Blasio announced. Also, the synagogue would be permanently closed if it were violated again, he angrily added.
“We don’t want to do that, but we have to be very, very clear that we cannot allow people to do something so dangerous,” explained de Blasio.
