A person in New York won the $20 million Mega Millions jackpot on Tuesdayafter another in-state resident won the $476 million in that game of chance on Friday.
A player in NY matched all six numbers from last night’s draw. At the moment, it has not been disclosed where the lucky person bought the ticket.
The winning numbers for the draw for this Tuesday, April 18 were: 7 – 9 – 15 – 19 – 25 and 4 (Megaball). The Megaplier was 2x.
If the lucky one opts for the disbursement of money in a single payment, they would be left with about $10.5 million.
The announcement comes just days after a person in Ozone Park, Queens, walked away with the $483 million jackpot in the April 14 spin. The winner has not yet claimed the prize.
“Although several states have won consecutive Mega Millions jackpots in the past (most recently in Massachusetts on January 24 and 31), this is the first time in the game’s history that jackpots have been won in the same status in consecutive draws,” the Mega Millions explained in a press release on its website.
Apart from the jackpot, three other tickets won $1 million by matching five of the six numbers from the series. Tickets were purchased in Iowa, Maryland and Ohio. Additionally, another 27 are creditors of between $10,000 and $20,000 by matching four of the numbers plus the Mega Ball.
