Vanzeir had missed the previous game against Lionel Messi’s Inter Miami (0-2 loss) due to a thigh injury. When he appeared on the field, Giacomo Vrioni (30th) had already scored the only goal of the match.
The Red Bulls are 12th in the Eastern Conference with 29 points in 26 games. New England Revolution is second with 46 points (25 games).
