Blais, 25, appeared in 14 Rangers games last winter, registering four assists. His season ended when he suffered a lower-body injury on November 14.

The Montmagny native has 17 goals and 22 assists in 133 career NHL games with the St. Louis Blues and Rangers. He won the Stanley Cup with the Blues in 2019.

The Rangers acquired the services of Blais on July 23 in a trade also involving Pavel Buchnevich.
