The Rangers defeated the Carolina Hurricanes 6-2 in the seventh and decisive game in Raleigh on Monday. Rangers take on defending champions Tampa Bay Lightning in the Eastern Conference Finals on Wednesday. In the west, starting Tuesday (today), Colorado Avalanche and the Edmonton Oilers will play for a place in the Stanley Cup final.
