Judge Arthur Engoron had already ordered Trump and his adult children in February to comply with the attorney’s subpoenas and provide her office with the requested documents by March 31.

Trump’s children appealed the judge’s decision requiring them to testify. As for the documents, Trump has “not at all” complied with the judge’s demand. Trump’s lawyers, according to the prosecutor, said they could not provide the documents because they could not find them. James will “just have to wait”, it sounds.

With her investigation, James wants to find out whether Trump and his company manipulated property values for tax authorities, lenders and insurers to enrich themselves with favorable loans, insurance coverage and tax deductions. The investigation could lead to a lawsuit against Trump, his company and his children.

Trump’s lawyers did not immediately respond to a request for comment.
