The New York police released new details of the murder of the man of Hispanic origin Tyrone Padilla and revealed images of the alleged murderer in the hope that someone can provide information for his capture.
On January 5, Padilla, of Puerto Rican origin, 61 years old, went out to buy bread and milk for breakfast, but upon his return he was chased to his apartment located on Creston Avenue, in the Bronx, and later stabbed in the neck and chest. .
“I saw him lying there, I grabbed his face and told him ‘don’t die on me’,” said Violeta Crespo, Tyrone’s mother, in an interview with Univision 41.
“If they put him next to me (the alleged murderer) I will also go to prison, but I will take his life.”
The 84-year-old woman said that she went down the hallway and found her son in a serious condition.
Padilla was rushed to Saint Barnabas Hospital where he died.
His mother stressed that the man was a quiet person, who worked as a teacher and in recent years worked as a floor polisher.
“He didn’t have friends from the street or anything like that, he came home from work every day at 5:00 in the morning,” he recalled.
The New York police revealed photos of the alleged perpetrator and asked the public to share any information that leads to his location at 1.888.57PISTA.
The Puerto Rican’s family reported that his organs were donated.
