New York Pizza wants to open a dozen branches by 2022

Restaurant chain New York Pizza wants to open the same number of branches next year as last year. In 2021, the chain opened 33 branches.

Of these, 28 were opened in the Netherlands, the other five in Belgium, director of franchise operations & development Steffen van Dijk told RetailTrends. This brought the counter in the Netherlands to 247 branches and in Belgium to six. The chain opened twelve new branches in the past month, which is a record for the company.

In Germany, the Dutch company acquired three companies in recent months: Stückwerk, Flying Pizza and Pizza Planet. This brings the total number of German branches to 107. The first openings are expected at the beginning of 2022, e-commerce & online marketing manager Jorn Vriend told Twinkle in October.
