Pizza chain New York Pizza sees growth opportunities for about 30 new locations this year
Formula news – The year 2021 is a wonderful and very successful year for pizza chain New York Pizza. With no fewer than 28 openings in the Netherlands, 5 openings in Belgium and the acquisition of 3 chains in Germany, this was the most successful year in history. But it doesn’t stop there. The pizza chain recently opened its 250th location in the Netherlands in Cuijk.
New York Pizza is a Dutch fast food chain specialized in pizzas. The individual branches are managed by franchisees. In 2021, New York Pizza was acquired by the Norwegian Orkla and transferred to Consumer & Financial Investments together with the Finnish Kotipizza.
New York Pizza is now also showing its international ambitions. The company recently acquired two German pizza chains, Flying Pizza and Pizza Planet. While just before that, it had already incorporated pizza chain Stückwerk with our eastern neighbors. This brings the total number of locations in Germany to 107. New York Pizza has the ambition to become one of the largest players in the pizza delivery market in Germany, the company said.
In the Netherlands, the pizza chain wants to grow strongly again this year in the number of locations. About thirty new branches are being considered; aiming for 300.
