New York Pizza swallows German chain Stückwerk | Financial

At the end of June, New York Pizza was largely sold to the Norwegian conglomerate Orkla. The Norwegians took a 75% stake in the chain, which has a value of €145 million. The selling owners held 25%.

Locations

New York Pizza was founded in 1993. The first business was located on Spui in Amsterdam. Currently, New York Pizza has a total of more than 236 locations, excluding the 32 that it is now taking over from Stückwerk. Of these, 233 are in the Netherlands and one in Leuven in Belgium. New York Pizza plans to open five more stores in Belgium before the end of the year.

New York Pizza sold 11.5 million pizzas last year and generated a turnover of almost €55 million.
