Arjen Swart, owner of New York Pizza on Willem-Alexanderplein, expresses his concerns about the parking of his company cars in a letter to the Nijkerk political groups.
New York Pizza has parked in front of the door for years and had an exemption for parking in the blue zone. But according to Swart, alderman René Windhouwer has refused that exemption for the coming years.
Willem-Alexanderplein is currently being redeveloped. According to him, we now have to park our cars elsewhere at least three minutes’ walk away. This doesn’t sound far, but it has major financial consequences for us: six cars x six minutes’ walk x 364 days = 218 hours per year x EUR 15.00 wage bill = EUR 3,276 per year in extra costs,” Swart calculates.
Arjen Swart asks the political groups to put the subject on the political agenda.
