The outcome of this situation could have been tragic, but it was without counting on the solidarity of passers-by, witnesses of the scene. Gradually, they cluster around the vehicle, confused at first.
Quickly, they find the solution. Together, they try to lift the two-ton SUV. On a video captured by Colby Droscher, we see the crowd of improvised rescuers finally managing to carry out the operation.

Nothing serious
According to the New-York Daily News, the 25-year-old woman was already released when help arrived. Still conscious, she had no serious injuries.
As a precaution, the doctors took her to the Bellevue hospital.
The scene took place on Sunday January 26 and testifies to an act of solidarity, carried by the citizens of New York.
