LUS President Donald Trump opposes the relocation of the statue of Theodore Roosevelt which is outside the New York Museum of Natural History. “Ridiculous, don’t do it,” he wrote on Twitter Monday.

Decision following the demonstrations

The move was announced on Sunday following anti-racism protests in the United States, which have been on the rise since George Floyd’s death during a police intervention on May 25 in Minneapolis.

New York City Mayor Bill de Blasio announced the statue would be removed as it symbolizes colonization and racial discrimination, US media reported.
