Starting Monday, those earning the minimum wage in the city and state will receive a raise.
The minimum wage here in the city, Long Island and Westchester will have an increase of one dollar, going from 15 to 16 dollars an hour.

In the Upstate, hourly pay will increase from $14.20 to $15 an hour.
By 2026, the minimum wage will increase to $17 an hour here in the city.

After that, increases will be tied to the statewide inflation rate.
