A 24-year-old man was shot and killed near his Brooklyn home on Sunday afternoon, police said.
Benjamin Brown was shot twice in the chest outside a Bedford-Stuyvesant apartment building on Willoughby Avenue near Throop Avenue at around 2:25 p.m., according to cops.
Brown, who lives in the same block, was taken to Woodhull Hospital and pronounced dead, police said.
It is not known what triggered the fatal incident.
Police did not immediately make any arrests or identify any suspects in the homicide.
Investigators are scanning the area for ballistic evidence and surveillance footage, cops said.
