A highly dangerous act resulted in a death early Saturday morning in the New York City subway when a 32-year-old man died while riding on the roof of a subway car.
The individual lost his footing as the vehicle passed over the Williamsburg Bridge, which connects the neighborhoods of Brooklyn and Manhattan, CNN reported.
The man then fell onto the tracks and was struck by another metro.
His death was pronounced when the emergency services arrived, a little after 4:30 am. At the end of the afternoon, the man had still not been identified.
“Getting on the roof of a railcar is not smart,” a spokesperson for the Metropolitan Transportation Authority told US media.
