More than 70 percent of adults in New York have now received at least one shot of a corona vaccine. That will allow the authorities to lift the last measures, Governor Andrew Cuomo announced on Tuesday.

“We’re at 70 percent and that was the national goal,” Cuomo said. “We are ahead of schedule. That also means we can return to everyday life as we know it.”
New York was one of the worst-hit cities in the world in the spring of 2020.
In the meantime, the coronavirus has already claimed the lives of more than 600,000 people in the United States, according to the dashboard of the prestigious Johns Hopkins University (JHU). This makes it the worst affected country in the world.
