New York Knicks Defeat Milwaukee Bucks 129-122 in First of Five NBA ‘Christmas Day’ Games

New York beat Milwaukee 129-122 in the first of five ‘Christmas Day’ games of the North American Basketball Championship (NBA) on Monday.

The Knicks led by 9 points at the end of the first quarter (36-27). While the Bucks came back to 5 units (51-56), winning shots from Jalen Brunson and Julius Randle in the last minute of the second quarter allowed the Knicks to return to the locker room with an 11-point lead (62-51).

New York had a 13-point lead (64-51) at the end of the third quarter. In the last quarter, the Bucks came back to 6 points (124-118), but were unable to get any closer.

Brunson (38 points) and Randle (24 points) were the main architects of New York’s success. Giannis Antetokounmpo and Damian Lillard scored 32 points each for the Bucks, who remained on seven straight victories.

Milwaukee (22 wins, 8 losses) occupy second place in the East. New York (17 wins, 12 losses) is in fifth place.
