New York judge agrees to abuse procedure against Prince Andrew | royals

A major obstacle to the proceedings against the 61-year-old son of the British Queen appeared to be the deal that Giuffre made with Epstein in 2009. The just-published, previously secret, agreement states that she received half a million dollars from Epstein and would not file any complaints against him in return. But it was also explicitly stated that Giuffre will no longer take legal action “on the basis of complaints she had or has” against Epstein’s entourage. He has been described as Epstein’s “adult male peers, including royals, politicians, academics, businessmen and/or other professional and personal acquaintances.”

entertainment">But the twelve-page agreement between Epstein and Giuffre from 2009 does not constitute an obstacle, according to the judge. Giuffre is seeking damages and is basing her claim on complaints she received after the agreement was signed, such as emotional problems due to the abuse.
