That would have occurred in the circles of the wealthy businessman and sex offender Jeffrey Epstein, who committed suicide in a cell in New York in 2019. Epstein allegedly ordered her to have sex with the prince at the time.
Filed a complaint
The woman, Virginia Giuffre, had wanted to start a lawsuit against Prince Andrew for some time and filed a complaint last year. The British prince has always insisted he had nothing to do with the case.

A major obstacle to the proceedings against the 61-year-old son of the British Queen appeared to be the deal that Giuffre made with Epstein in 2009. The just-published agreement, which was previously classified, states that she received half a million dollars from Epstein and would not file any complaints against him in return.
Agreement no obstacle
It was also explicitly stated that Giuffre would no longer take legal action “on the basis of complaints she had or has” against Epstein’s entourage. He has been described as Epstein’s “adult male peers, including royals, politicians, academics, businessmen and/or other professional and personal acquaintances.”
But the twelve-page agreement between Epstein and Giuffre from 2009 does not constitute an obstacle, according to the judge. Giuffre is seeking damages and is basing her claim on complaints she received after the agreement was signed, such as emotional problems due to the abuse.
