New York Jets’ Aaron Rodgers Impressed with Carolina Panthers Rookie QB Bryce Young

New York Jets quarterback Aaron Rodgers praised Carolina Panthers rookie quarterback Bryce Young after the two teams practiced together. Rodgers was impressed with Young’s ability and character.

Rodgers and Young share the same agent, and Rodgers has followed Young’s college career with interest. He expressed his appreciation for Young’s demeanor, throwing technique and movements. Rodgers stressed that the Carolina Panthers are in good hands with Young.

“I like the boy a lot,” Rodgers said about Young. “I liked seeing him in college. I like his demeanor, I like his movements, I like the way he throws… I think Carolina is in good hands.”

The Panthers selected Bryce Young as the first pick in this year’s NFL draft. Young had an impressive streak at the University of Alabama, throwing 79 touchdowns and 12 interceptions in two seasons as a starter. He also won the prestigious Heisman Trophy in 2021.

Aaron Rodgers, a veteran quarterback and four-time NFL MVP, traded from the Green Bay Packers to the New York Jets this season. He gave Young some tips along the way and encouraged him to be patient and confident.

Bryce Young expressed great respect for Rodgers and said he would happily take any advice from someone with that much experience.

Both the Carolina Panthers and the New York Jets have struggled at the quarterback position in recent years. The Panthers have not made the playoffs since 2017, while the Jets have not made the postseason since 2010, making it the longest playoff absence in the league.
