New York imposes vaccination mandate for private sector

Starting this Monday, all workers in private sector companies must have at least one dose of the COVID-19 vaccine.

New York is the first city in the nation to have a vaccination mandate for non-public employees.

The measure is slated to apply to more than 100,000 businesses across the city.

Additionally, teens 12 and older will also need to show proof of two doses of vaccine to enter indoor activities.

At least 73% of minors in that age group are fully vaccinated.
