Human remains were found in an apartment in Brooklyn, New York on Wednesday afternoon, ABC7 New York reports.
Neighbors alerted the police, due to a bad smell coming from the apartment. Inside, the latter discovered the blood and remains of a woman in two suitcases.
The victim is said to be a 22-year-old young woman who resided in the apartment. The medical examiner must confirm your identity and determine the cause of death.
Residents told investigators that the young woman lived in the apartment with her boyfriend, with whom she often quarreled.
Neighbors in shock
“Even if this neighborhood isn’t the best, it’s outrageous. Absolutely outrageous,” a neighbor told our colleagues. “Even being here scares me. It makes me sick.”
“It’s scary,” said another resident. “I live here with my family and it is terrible to hear that someone did such a thing right next to where you sleep.”
The investigation is ongoing.
