NEW YORK – Looking for a terrifying experience for Halloween 2022? You don’t have to go far.
New York is home to the longest horror race in the world, according to the Guinness Book of Records, and the lair begins in the town of Monroe, in the middle of the Hudson Valley.
What’s so special, you ask? Pure terror has 10 individual haunted attractions, each offering different spooky experiences. Some may find the experience Woods of the Dead particularly chilling, while Psycho Circus offers everything except peanuts and crackers. If you are really adventurous, give it a try Terror in the darkwhich, as the name suggests, promises to terrify all your senses as you navigate the completely obscured attraction.
There is also a new attraction this year: it is called Bedlam state kindergarten and, according to Pure Terror, it was built to house the criminally insane in 1942.
As the story goes, “This now creepy and abandoned psychiatric hospital was known for its experimental treatments on patients. Many visitors reported hearing unusual noises, such as doors slamming randomly, as well as a tremor coming from the floors.” and the nurses who have never made it continue to wander around the corridors. “
You can imagine the rest.
