A homeless man was hit with a suction cup in the lobby of an Upper West Side bank in a brutal attack filmed earlier this month, police said.
The victim was walking into a Capital One bank at 175 West 72nd St. when the suspect hit him from behind just before 3 a.m. on December 20, according to the NYPD.
Assault surveillance footage provided by police shows the victim fell to the ground as a result of the cheap shot.
The suspect then kicked the man in the face as he lay helpless on the ground, according to the video.
The victim suffered a cut to his eye and was treated at St. Luke Hospital, police said.
The man told investigators he did not know his attacker.
The suspect fled and was still wanted Thursday morning, authorities said.
