New York; Holiday Fair returns to Grand Central – NBC New York

NEW YORKNew York City is a magical place during the Christmas season, and while there are still a few months to go, it has already been announced that one of the season’s most memorable attractions will be there.

After a two-year hiatus due to the pandemic, the traditional Christmas fair returns to the iconic Grand Central train terminal, the Metropolitan Transportation Authority (MTA) announced Tuesday.

This year’s event will last six weeks at Vanderbilt Hall Starting Monday, November 14th. The holiday fair will feature dozens of unique local vendors and small businesses with a focus on quality crafts and products made in New York and the United States.

Vendors will sell a diverse mix of gift items, including clothing and accessories for men and women, original artwork, jewelry, party favors and distinctive home décor, personal care products and an endless variety of handmade products .

The return of the fair reinforces the city’s progress in retail resurgence and overall growth. It coincides with Metro-North’s continued growth in passenger numbers and the abundance of return foot traffic through Grand Central Terminal. Grand Central continues to attract residents, travelers and visitors in increasing numbers each month and expects an increase in visitors as the show returns.

“Just a few months ago we announced the arrival of new tenants at Grand Central, including the well-known City Winery, and today we are delighted to announce the return of Grand Central Holiday Fairsaid Catherine Rinaldi, president of Metro-North Railroad. “We are thrilled to bring this delightful New York Christmas tradition back to life, which showcases the craftsmanship of local suppliers and is a sign of the continued revival of New York retail.”

The Christmas Fair starts on Monday 14th November and will last until Saturday 24th December. It will operate from Monday to Saturday from 10:00 to 19:00, on Sundays from 11:00 to 18:00 and on Christmas Eve from 10:00 to 18:00 The Christmas Fair will be closed for Thanksgiving Thanks.
