The signed legislation modifies the public buildings law to prohibit the sale of tobacco products in vending machines and at concession stands that rent space in buildings in New York State.
The ban will apply to new leases and contracts with sellers. This legislation makes the public buildings law consistent with other state laws and policies related to tobacco sales.
